In addition, here is some general information regarding NCAA recruiting rules.

PHONE CONTACT
For sports other than basketball, Fairfield  coaches can call you once per calendar week beginning July 1 following your junior year in high school.  Prior to that date, coaches cannot call you, but you or your parents can call our coaching staffs at any time. Prior to July 1st, if you call and do not reach a coach, please keep trying, as they are not allowed to return your call.

For men’s and women’s basketball, please leave a message with the coaches that includes your name, year in high school, phone number and email address, and they will contact you in a permissible manner.  You may also email coaches your contact information.

WRITTEN MATERIALS (Letters, Media Guides, Email)
After September 1 of your junior year in high school, Fairfield University coaches are able to provide you with information regarding the University and the specific athletics program in which you are interested.  These recruiting materials include e-mails, written correspondences, media guides, and other printed materials permitted by NCAA rules.

Prior to junior year, you are limited to receiving questionnaires, camp brochures, and academic information from the Office of Admission.

VISITING CAMPUS
We strongly encourage prospective student-athletes to visit our campus, tour the facilities, and meet our coaching staff.  NCAA regulations allow you to visit Fairfield University at your own expense (also known as an unofficial visit) at ANY time during high school or afterwards. There are no limits on the number of unofficial visits you may take. We suggest that you call ahead and schedule an appointment with a coach to ensure getting to meet a member of that coaching staff.

An official visit is one that is paid for in part, or in full, by Fairfield. Under NCAA regulations you are allowed to take a maximum of five official visits during your senior year in high school.  The coaches arrange official visits.

If you have any additional questions regarding NCAA recruiting rules, please visit their recruiting website.
