Mary Ann Palazzi is in her tenth year as
the Coordinator of Programs for Student-Athletes in the Fairfield
University Department of Athletics. In her role, she is
responsible for overseeing the academic progress of the Stags
student-athletes.
Prior to coming to Fairfield, Palazzi was the head women's
basketball coach at the University of New Haven, for seven
years. She was an assistant coach for the Stags women's
basketball team the seven years before that, and started her
collegiate coaching career with a three-year stint at Providence in
the same role.
Palazzi earned a BA in Sociology in 1983 from the College of the
Holy Cross, where she played both basketball and softball.
She has also earned an M.A. in Education Administration from
Fairfield.
A native of Worcester, Mass., Palazzi currently resides in
Stratford, Conn.
