Bowen enjoyed successful career as amember of the Hudson High School softball team. She  was a two-time Mid-Wasch C All-Star in 2007 and 2008. Bowen earned a spot on the Worcester Telegram & Gazette as well as the MetroWest Daily News first teams during her career. She was recognized for her contributions to the program by receiving the Hudson High School Unsung Hero Award. Bowen helped Hudson capture the 2007 Massachusetts Division 2 state championship. Off the field, Bowen was a member of the National Honor Society as well as an AP Scholar.
