Danielle Iovino2008
Season
Iovino picked up her second save of the season in
Fairfield's win against Iona, which clinched a spot in MAAC
tournament. She lef the team with two saves, also picking up one
against Stony Brook on April 24. The freshman earned a save in two
of her final four appearances. She tossed two innings in both
saves, and allowed no earned runs. She finished the regular season
with a 3.50 ERA against MAAC foes, and a 3.66 ERA overall. She did
not start a game during the year, as she came out of the bullpen
for all 11 of her appearances. Iovino picked up her lone victory
against Rhode Island as she tossed the final five innings of a 4-1
decision. Her longest stint of the season came against Ohio
University, pitching six innings and yielding three earned runs in
a 13-4 loss.
Before
Fairfield
Iovino came to Fairfield after a successful career at WT Clarke
High School. She also gained experience as a member of the BP
All-Stars ASA team. Her major is math.
