     Before Fairfield: Bassiacos brings a great deal of experience to the team which could help her make a run at the starting goalkeeper spot. Her success at Ridge High School could provide ample opportunity to collect quality minutes between the posts this season. She was the top goalkeeper for saves as a senior on the NJ.com/The Star Ledger saves list. She posted 426 career saves and allowed 84 goals over her four-year stay. She posted an .830 save percentage and a 1.82 goals against average. Bassiacos participated at the 2007 and 2008 National Hockey Festival. In addition, the goalkeeper played Futures in each of the last two years. She also excelled in the classroom and collected several academic awards. She was a member of the Ridge High School Honor Roll, and capped her academic career by being inducted into the National Honor Society. She lists nursing as her major.
