Phillips has a way of scoring goals which could place her in the lineup early this season. She broke the Longmeadow High School scoring record with 28 goals and 12 assists for 40 points in 2007. Her senior season statistics helped raise her career scoring totals to a school standard 76 goals, 23 assists and 99 total points. Phillips broke the 100-point plateau in lacrosse as well with 76 goals and 25 assists. During her eight seasons with the field hockey and lacrosse teams, Longmeadow High School won seven Western Massachusetts championships. She earned All-Conference honors in both sports, as well as Western Massachusetts All Scholastic first team accolades. She capped her career at Longmeadow High School by earning the Athlete of the Year award from the Springfield Republican. She played club field hockey with the Western Massachusetts Nomads, and played at the National Field Hockey Festival.
