2007 Season: McCullough capped her sophomore season by earning a spot on the All-America East second team, the only Stag to earn a spot on the post-season team. She was also named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. McCullough started all but two of her appearances, coming off the bench against William & Mary and against New Hampshire in late October. Regarded as one of the team's top defensive players, McCullough has been a key contributor in the midfield for each of her two seasons with the Stags. She picked up her first career points with the game-winning goal against Saint Francis, giving her two points for the season.
2006 Season: McCullough played a key role with the team's defensive effort a year ago. She was inserted into the lineup 18 times during the year, all but one coming as a starter. The midfielder came off the bench against Siena College after starting her first 11 appearances. She missed the Holy Cross game, but came back to play the final 10 games of the season. McCullough did not score during the year, playing more of a defensive midfield position. With a year of experience, McCullough looks to become one of the team's top defensive players in 2007. McCullough received a berth to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
Before Fairfield: McCullough played
four seasons at Queensbury High School, where she helped the field
hockey team post a 23-1 overall record, a 12-0 league slate, and
advance to the state tournament championship game. She earned her
second All-State award as a senior, and was a first-team All-Star.
She was named the team's most valuable player, as well as the
team's captain. McCullough participated in the National Futures
tournament in 2004, 2005, and 2006. With her help Queensbury went
undefeated in league play for three straight seasons. She earned a
Presidential Scholarship from Fairfield University.
