Ed Paige is his fourth season at the helm of the men's and women's tennis program.
In 2009, under Paige's tutelage, the men's team set the program record for wins in a season (18), earned a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Regular Season title, and advanced to the MAAC Championship final second time in as many season. The women's team won six of the last seven matches en route its first MAAC Championship since 2003-04 and faced seventh-seeded USC in the NCAA Tournament. aige was named the MAAC Coach of the Year and guided numerous All-MAAC honorees, including Men's Rookie and Player of the Year Joe Michalisin and women's Co-Player of the Year Paulina Rys.
In 2008, Paige was named the MAAC Coach of the Year after leading both the men's and the women's teams to second-place finishes at the MAAC Championships. Paige also coached five All-MAAC selections in 2007-08, including Co-Rookie of the Year and second team pick Rob Ferrante, first team selection Chip Palumbo, the second-team men's doubles tandem of Palumbo and Balazs Szikla, and the second team women's doubles duo of sophomores Dana Postupack and Rys.
In his first season, he guided the men's team to a 13-10 overall record to set the program record for wins in a season. The men concluded the season with a fourth place finish at the 2007 MAAC Championships. On the women's side, the Stags battled through injuries throughout much of the year, going 9-12-1 and tying for fifth place at the MAAC Championships.
Paige, who spent five seasons as an assistant coach for the Stags before accepting the position as head coach, has been involved in tennis as a player, coach and writer for nearly 30 years.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Paige has coached extensively at the youth level. He spent two years as the Director of Junior Tennis in the town of Fairfield, and was also an assistant coach for the boy's junior varsity tennis team at Greens Farms Academy in Westport, Conn.
Paige spent six years as an editor at World Tennis Magazine and was the editor of Tennis USA, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) official monthly newspaper. From there Paige worked at some of the top publishing companies in the country, including Paragon House, while teaching feature writing and copy editing at New York University. More recently, Paige spent two years as an editor at The Advocate, Stamford's daily newspaper followed by three years as managing editor of Westport Magazine before turning his attention to tennis full time.
Paige earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1974 and attended the Breadloaf
School of English at Middlebury College in 1976 and 1977.

Marisa Voloshin joins the Stags for her first season as an assistant coach.
Voloshin, a native of Woodbridge, helped the Fairfield women's
tennis team to a MAAC Tournament Championship and an NCAA
Tournament appearance in 2009 as a team captain. Voloshin earned
All-MAAC honors for her doubles play with partner Dana Postupack.
The duo went 22-9 to bring Voloshin's career record to 37-16.
