
Men's Lacrosse Heads Up 95 For Saturday Night Game Versus Yale

The Fairfield University men's lacrosse team continues its three-game road trip with its final non-conference game of the year, at Yale University on Saturday. The Stags, who had their four-game win streak snapped on Saturday, enter the game at 6-3, while the Bulldogs are 4-5 on the season. Fairfield is ranked fourth for the second consecutive week in the NEILA Coaches Poll, while Yale maintained its ranking of sixth.
Fairfield and Yale are meeting for the fifth-time in men's lacrosse, with the Bulldogs holding a 4-0 advantage. Separated by just 25 miles on I-95 the teams have met in the state of Connecticut just once, a 12-9 Yale win at Fairfield last season. The first meeting came in 1996, a 13-12 Yale triumph. The teams met in Boca Raton, Fla., in 2005 and 2006.
Fairfield is in the midst of its second three-game road trip, Separated by one home game, to play six of seven on the road. The Stags are 3-2 in road games this season, being out scored in those games 39-36. John Snellman has seven goals and an assist to lead the team with eight points away from home. Charlie Cipriano has made 53 saves and has a .576 save percentage on the road.
