
Men's Lacrosse Heads West For Saturday Match-Up With Penn State

The Fairfield University men's lacrosse team continues its three-game road swing as it returns to ECAC Lacrosse League play on Saturday at Penn State. The game is set for 1 p.m.
The Stags are 3-2 on the year and 1-0 in ECAC play, having won its last contest, 8-6 over Marist on Tuesday. John Snellman had a career day against the Red Foxes, scoring four goals and dishing out one assist. Charlie Cipriano made 10 saves, his third double-digit save effort of his collegiate career, and second in as many games.
Penn State is 3-3 overall and 0-1 in league play entering the game. The Nittany Lions opened the year with three consecutive losses, but have rebounded with three straight wins, including a home-win over Ohio State, 11-5.
Fairfield and Penn State are meeting for the ninth time in men's lacrosse, with the Nittany Lions holding a 6-2 advantage in the series. The Stags last win in the series came on the road, 11-10 in overtime in 2005, and the team is 1-3 in road games in the series.
