Men's Lacrosse Falls 11-6 At Ohio State

The Fairfield University men's lacrosse team dropped an 11-6 non-conference decision to #16/18 Ohio State University on Saturday in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday afternoon.  The loss drops the Stags to 1-1 on the year, while the Buckeyes improve to 3-1.

Fairfield was led by a pair of three-point efforts by Logan Rausse and Chris Ajemian.  Both tallied two goals and had an assist, with Ajemian picking up three ground balls.  Gary Raniolo netted his first goal of the season, while Brent Adams added a goal as well for the Stags.

Charlie Cipriano played the entire game in goal for the Stags, making seven saves.  Brandon Freeman earned the win in net for the Buckeyes, making 10 saves.

Steve Golmont won 10 face-offs for the Stags and recorded a team-best five ground balls.

The Stags return to action on Saturday, March 7 when they open ECAC Lacrosse League play at home versus Rutgers.  The game is set to face-off at 1 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
