Men's Lacrosse Opens Practice On Snowy Alumni Field

Jan 12, 2009

Despite several inches of snow and near freezing temperatures the Fairfield University men's lacrosse team took part in its first official spring practice on Monday.  The Stags are preparing for their fourth-year in the ECAC Lacrosse League under the direction of first-year head coach Andrew Copelan.

"We were anxious to get the players back on the field and get under way," said Copelan.  "These practices are very important to the overall success of the season and I was pleased with the effort that we gave today."

The Stags will play three preseason scrimmages in preparation for the regular season.  Fairfield will travel to Bucknell on Jan. 31, host Penn on Feb. 7 and play at Lafayette on Feb. 14.  The Stags host Delaware in the preseason opener on Feb. 21 on Alumni Field.
