He matched those numbers in his next game, seeing time at Canisius. He also secured playing time against Manhattan College and Rider University. O'Sullivan earned a season-high three minutes in the Rider game, giving him nine minutes total for the campaign. Four of his five appearances came on the road with the Manhattan game (February 29) being the only home appearance. He picked up his first steal of the season in the regular season finale against Rider.

2006-07
O'Sullivan did not play during the 2006-07 season as he sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules. He came to Fairfield after spending a season at Lafayette University.

Before Fairfield
O'Sullivan was a member of the 2002-03 McQuaid Jesuit team that captured the New York State championship with a 29-1 record and a national ranking in USA Today. One year later, O'Sullivan was named co-captain and led McQuaid to the Rochester City Catholic co-championship. He averaged 16 points and six assists per game, which helped him earn a spot on the All-Greater Rochester and All-City Catholic teams. He played prep school basketball at St. Thomas Moore in Connecticut before arriving at Fairfield University. He is the brother of Marty O'Sullivan, who graduated from Fairfield in 2008.
