2009 B2 Broadcast Schedule

The Fairfield University Department of Athletics announced its fall 2009 internet video broadcast schedule, now in its third season as a partner of the B2 Networks.  The Stags are scheduled to broadcast 30 men's and women's soccer, volleyball, and field hockey games this fall (weather permitting) and plan to have more than 70 home events broadcast during the 2009-10 athletic seasons.

"We are proud once again to offer our fans an additional venue in which to view our varsity athletic teams compete," said Director of Athletics Eugene P. Doris.  "For many fans our webcasts are the only way they are able to watch the Stags live. I am excited that we are able to once again increase the number of contests available for them to watch."

The 2009 broadcast schedule will kick off this Friday with a field hockey and men's soccer double-header in the team's home openers.  The field hockey team will take on Ball State at 3 p.m. on University Field and the men's soccer team will host Monmouth at 7 p.m. from Lessing Field.  The men's soccer team will also be on the air on Sunday when it takes on Towson in a rematch of a 2007 NCAA second round game at 1 p.m.

The volleyball team will have its home opener broadcast on Tuesday, September 15, when it hosts Fordham at 7 p.m. from Alumni Hall.  Among the eight total broadcasts on B2 Networks featuring the Stags volleyball team at home will be a match-up with MAAC rival Siena on Saturday October 10.

The women's soccer team will have seven of its home events broadcast via B2 Networks, including a rematch of the 2008 MAAC Championship Final versus Loyola on Sunday, October 18.  The men's soccer team will have eight home contests streamed via B2 Networks, while the field hockey team will have seven games aired.

Fans can purchase an All-Season Pass for $125 by clicking here, and will have access to every Fairfield game web-streamed through B2 Networks, both home and away.  MAAC foe Niagara University is a B2 Network partner and has several fall matchups with the Stags on its broadcast schedule.

Fans can also purchase games on a per-game basis for $7 a viewing.  Those fans wishing to view those games should visit the specific sports schedule and click on the B2 Watch Now icon at the top of the page, or on the ‘video' link next to the specific contest.

Fairfield will once again offer broadcast of all of its home men's and women's basketball games and select home contests from men's and women's lacrosse, baseball, and softball teams as well.  Games televised as part of a conference television package may not be available via B2 Networks.
